The Okhla Garment & Textile Cluster
Venue: India Habitat Centere, New Delhi 110001, India (Details
of Speakers Below.)
The textile industry plays a crucial
role in the Indian economy. The presence of textile sector can
be felt through its share of contribution to the industrial
output, employment generation and the export earnings of the
country. With textile exports
set to grow 25 per cent in 2006-07, India is emerging as a hotspot
for sourcing textiles and apparel in the post-quota
period. For direct sourcing buyers visiting India is increasing,
while more vendors are going abroad for direct selling.
Continued success is
possible only for those who would mould according to the situation
and ever growing needs of the hour.
To meet this need OGTC organizes international
conference every year .The theme for this year ICAHT 07 will
be INNOVATION.
The conference is supported by Apparel Export Promotion
Council (AEPC) and SISI, Ministry of SSI, Govt. Of India.
